A detached stone barn nestled amidst 1.5 acres of green fields, this property is situated in an enchanting position with breathtaking views across the Derwent Valley and country houses beyond.

Positioned on a hillside, the barn more than lives up to its name boasting spectacular vistas of the surrounding landscape. Guests can explore the countryside on foot along the various routes that lead from the doorstep. Within a short drive from the property, guests will find themselves at the gate of Chatsworth House parklands and Haddon Hall. For an afternoon of exploring, the pretty market town of Bakewell on the River Wye is a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

A split level hallway divides the property. Downstairs the bright lounge benefits from double doors that lead out onto a pretty patio area and garden. A spacious kitchen-diner with granite worktops and hand built oak units is equipped with all the necessities. There is also a cloakroom with a toilet and hand basin, perfect for muddy boots and scrubbing up after a long countryside walk.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms. The main bedroom with vaulted ceilings and breathtaking views across the countryside, consists of a super king size bed which can be separated to two single beds if required. There are three other bedrooms, one of which features king post roof truss and two single beds which can also be joined together to make a king size bed. Another double bedroom and family bathroom are found on this floor with bath, shower toilet and hand basin.

A fourth bedroom which is downstairs near the entrance to the barn has a double bed and an en-suite shower room with a toilet and hand basin.

Outside enjoy the patio with garden furniture and enclosed garden with spectacular views stretching for miles.

Beautiful cottage. There was 8 of us staying and it felt like there was plenty of room. The lounge isnt huge but double doors opened into dining area so it didn't feel cramped. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need, we cooked all our meals in the cottage and there was plenty of large pans etc. Fantastic for dogs. Beautiful location and a fantastic spacious house. We often go away in groups and like to do a lot of in-house cooking. This is honestly the most well-equipped place we've ever stayed at. Lovely barn conversion with outstanding views. Very well equipped property with plenty of everything.. Derwent View is a very comfortable house which suited our family group. Good showers, large dining table and we all enjoyed our stay. Excellent walks from the house.

The cottage is in an ideal location for visiting the local area, the Dales have a lot of varied and interesting places to visit. The cottage is well equipped and has a great outlook over the local area. I would not be happy bringing small children here due to the garden layout.

We had a lovely family holiday here the weather was kind and the location excellent, we had 3 dogs with us and they loved the nearby walks. the cottage was very comfortable and very well equipped it had everything you could need and more besides.

Beautiful cottage, the photos really dont do it justice. Unbelievably well equipped, fantastically clean throughout, really great layout of rooms making it feel very spacious even when at full capacity. The views are incredible, however the trade off for this is the steep drive up to the cottage which might be challenging in bad weather. Lots of paRead morerking space (we easily parked 4 cars), great walks on the doorstep and a short drive to lots of local attractions e.g Chatsworth. Just brilliant! Hide

An extremely comfortable & very well equipped barn in a spectacular location. The barn is tucked out of the way but the directions provided by the owner made it easy to find. It was perfect for our group of 3 families. Spotlessly clean, snug & warm. We would highly recommend it & we would love to stay again.

We loved the cottage, it had everything we could possibly have needed. The view from kitchen and master bedroom was spectacular and it was in a great location to visit the Peak District. We struggled a bit with the rather steep driveway, one of our cars had to park at the top. Our dogs enjoyed the enclosed garden and adjacent field, and the pretty Read morewalk from the cottage. Wonderful views, very comfortable house that happily accommodated the nine of us. Fantastic location for exploring this lovely area. Beautiful woodland walk with a peaceful wild swimming spot two minutes up the road the house is on.

The cottage was in a beautiful setting and felt far away from the hustle and bustle of normal life..lovely spacious accomodation with everything you would need. Blessed with amazing weather during the week, it is on a steep hill which wouldn't suit everybody but worth it for those amazing views, would love to come back!

Lovely barn, well equipped with two ensuites which was a nice surprise. The field for dogs we didn't use as it was left a bit overgrown and with the grass seeds we didn't bother. There are some cracking walks just a short stroll away and well worth a look. Road is narrow and steep and is said but it's a very quite road so we had no issues. Cannot rave enough about this property! Amazing location with the most incredible views over the Derbyshire countryside. The house is well equipped and has everything you could possibly need. Also a few lovely walks from the house, and only a short drive into Matlock. Highly recommend this property!
