With far reaching countryside views over the picturesque Holme Valley, this charming cottage is ideally situated for those who love to explore the great outdoors and boasts an indoor heated swimming pool.

Located in a small hamlet in the Holme Valley on the edge of the Peak District, this cottage is within easy reach to some of the popular attractions in the area. The great Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a 15 minute drive away and for those who like to admire majestic properties and gardens, there are a wealth of National Trust properties including Nostell Priory and Parkland that provide an interesting day out. If you are a keen rambler or enjoy a gentle stroll, there are a number of walking routes for all abilities straight from the property. The nearby small market town of Holmfirth was the backdrop to the popular long standing comedy, Last of the Summer Wine and has a wide variety of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.

This split level charming accommodation offers wonderful views and the outside patio area with garden furniture is delightful for sitting back and soaking up the fresh countryside air. The property has a spacious open plan lounge, kitchen with dishwasher, and dining room that’s equipped with all the essentials, a cosy woodburner for those colder evenings and is complete with countryside views for guests to enjoy. The utility area has a washer/ dryer and there is also a bathroom on the first floor with a WC and bath with shower over. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double with an en-suite shower room and WC, and one containing two twin beds. An additional pull out bed can be arranged with the owner prior to your stay. Modern and contemporary décor throughout the cottage provides a relaxing atmosphere and peaceful setting to unwind. Leisure facilities include a shared heated swimming pool with exclusive use at certain times of the day by prior arrangement with the owners. This property sits next to the owner’s home yet privacy is assured during your stay.

Lovely area not one I had been to before. Once on the main roads an easy drive to the main cities nearby. The local pubs offer good food and countryside is beautiful. Loved the house which had everything and more. I picked this,in part, because of the pool which was as fun as I expected. A perfectly located cottage for Yorkshire and the Peak District. The cottage was ideal for us and felt like a home from home. We were made to feel very welcome from the owners from the start. We stayed for a week here in June. lovely cottage with all amenities. The hosts were very friendly. Lovely touch was the flowers, cakes and tipple. The pool was an added plus. The Bag o Nails pub which is really conveniently located to the cottage was closed and not sure if it will reopen in the near future. This was a shame as the next pub was a lRead moreittle way away.
