This lodge is nestled in a special spot, the views have to be seen to be believed. Perfect romantic retreat with a wood burner for those chillier evenings. One bedroom, open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining.

Whether you would like to try wind surfing on Carsington Water or a less energetic stroll through historic Ashbourne, you will be centrally located for many attractions. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Heights of Abraham, Tissington & Monsal Trail and Alton Towers are within easy reach. The views over Carsington Water are beautiful, yet only three miles from Ashbourne town centre. From the farm, there are walking, cycle routes and bridleways meaning you can explore the area without getting in to your car. On an early evening, you can walk to the local village pub which serves great food and Kniveton produced cider.

Stepping into the cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The first thing you notice are the large windows that act as a picture frame to the surrounding rolling countryside. The focal point of the room is a cosy wood burner which is perfect for those romantic nights in snuggled up in front of the fire on the comfy sofa which also doubles up as a sofa bed, perfect for kids. The area also presents a Smart TV/DVD and foldable dining table if you decide to do a spot of cooking. The compact kitchen area offers an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher and fridge. At the end of the lodge is the double bedroom with built-in wardrobes and a comfy bed you wont want to leave. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious with electric shower over the bath WC and heated towel rail.

The outside of the lodge really makes this something special, there is a decked area to the front of the lodge to sit, relax and lose your thoughts over the sublime views. The rear of the lodge also offers a private patio area with seating and BBQ. There is ample parking around the lodge.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful and beautiful location. The cottage had all amenities we needed for a week long stay. There are several attractions and walks accessible nearby - Carsington Water, Dovedale. 10 minute drive into Ashbourne for shops and restaurants.

This cottage must have the best views in Derbyshire. There was everything we could have wished for whilst staying with dogs. The owners were exceptionally helpful when I was taken ill and had to be rushed to hospital.

What a lovely cottage! I was looking for somewhere out of the way where I could hide away and write solidly for four or five days. This was perfect! Small, but well equipped, I could not have asked for more! Thank you Craig, you were so helpful and welcoming.

A gorgeous, cosy hideaway that is perfectly located to explore the Peak District. The views from the lodge are stunning & it has all the facilities you could want. We couldnt recommend a better place to rest your weary feet after a day out exploring!

Ewe lodge is a little bit of luxury in a beautiful rural location. Beautiful views of the countryside & Carsington Water, a short drive to Ashbourne which has all the shops you need. Nearest pub is in a village called Kniveton, which is a 2 mile walk across country. Ewe lodge has a really well equipped kitchen, a bed youll never want to get out of Read more& a cosy lounge with a log burner. We cant wait to return. Hide
