Whether you want to get all of your loved ones together to celebrate a special occasion, or bring the team from the office together to thrash out business strategy, this grand and glamorous detached home in Bakewell is a great accommodation choice. Spend glorious days hiking along the Monsal Trail or rock-scrambling at Wildboar Clough, and your evenings hosting celebratory dinners in the elegant dining room or warming your toes by the wood burner in the living room.

Sleeping ten people over five bedrooms and welcoming two dogs, there’s no denying that this house is a wonderfully social space. Step inside and you’ll find a light and bright kitchen/diner. Pop the kettle on and gather everyone around the breakfast bar to plan the day ahead. After a wonderful day exploring the national park, come home to create culinary classics in the kitchen area. After dinner, crack open a bottle of something fizzy and enjoy mingling on the lawn of the split-level garden. Alternatively, head to the garage for a game of table tennis, or retreat to the living room to curl up on the sofa in front of the crackling wood burner. At the end of the day, there are five stylish bedrooms upstairs to choose from.

Get the gang together for a gorge-walking experience at Beeley (5 miles): walking through streams and scrambling up small waterfalls is the perfect way to spend a warm day. Alternatively, make your way to Hassop Station (2 miles), hire some bikes and head along the traffic-free Monsal Trail, which runs for 8.5 miles to Chee Dale. This house felt more like a plush hotel...the furnishings and finishings were all beautiful. The location is amazing. The garden was home to a very mini cricket game but plenty big enough to have fun with a 6 year old. We will definitely look to come again.

There is a spacious garden with a good sized table and barbecue. Bakewell can be the start of many great walks and the Monsal trail is a really good cycle ride with bikes to hire at Hassop station. Very clean and spacious house. Was informed on the arrival day that on of the showers wasnt working and a plumber would be coming asap which didnt happen. We decided to have a bbq one night then changed our minds because it had been left in a disgusting state. The location of the property is good for all the local amenities.

We were a family of 7 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs and found Fox House to be a beautifully decorated, stylish and comfortable house within walking distance of the centre of Bakewell. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms spacious and the beds very comfortable. The barbecue & the table tennis were a bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice location 5 mins walk to Bakewell, however the hill is steep. Lounge is too small for 10 people, and really with just the 2 bathrooms it would be tricky overall if you had 10 people. Luckily we only had 6 and that felt OK. This lessens the value for money - however the finish, cleanliness and location were all positives for us.
