Positioned in the beautiful landscape of the North Peak, the property is centrally located for some of the area’s best attractions, including the country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, as well as nearby pretty market towns.

The property is well situated for making the most of the idyllic countryside. The nearby Derwent Reservoir offers great walking and cycling trails. Also worth visiting is the nearby market town of Bakewell - a great spot for meandering through the various cafes and shops. The historical spa town of Buxton has an opera house and theatre for those guests looking for a bit of culture. Within easy reach of some spectacular walking routes through the surrounding countryside and rock climbing spots, including Curbar Edge and Stanage Edge.

Entry to the property is via steps from the garden which lead into the spacious open-plan kitchen/ lounge and diner. The kitchen area is equipped with all the necessities that guests require during their stay. A charming lounge area is centred about a fireplace and offers a great place to relax and unwind after a day spent exploring the great outdoors. Factor in a sofa bed for occasional use too. The apartment’s spacious bedroom contains a king-size bed and a family bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin that perfectly completes this delightful apartment.

Outside the property there is a beautifully relaxing seating area looking out onto the expansive gardens. The gardens include an orchard situated directly next to the property and there is a kitchen and Japanese garden, to name just a few. Seasonal food is available on site and can be pre-ordered too.

The property is a great choice for those seeking a rural retreat amidst the beauty of the Peak District.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

A lovely tranquil comfortable place to stay. The gardens are pleasant to walk around and property close to Chatsworth and surrounding Peak District. Highly recommend.

A lovely peaceful location. Easy access to lots of touristy destinations, Chatsworth flower show (10-15 minutes away) was our reason for visiting

A very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Horsleygate Hall has such wonderful grounds that it was difficult most mornings to leave it and explore the surrounding countryside. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. A wonderful experience.
