A rural stone cottage that enjoys a delightful location in the pretty village of Baslow. Guests will be spoilt for choice with the array of outdoor activities right on the doorstep. Enjoy gentle walks through the picturesque parklands of Chatsworth House, or along the river banks of the River Derwent. For something a little more challenging head up to the Curbar Edge and Dark Peak for rewarding views over the countryside. A short drive takes guests to the pretty market towns of Bakewell and Buxton, or if a spot of culture is needed the cities of Sheffield and Chesterfield are within a 30 minute drive of the cottage.  For those who don’t fancy cooking and who are seeking a touch of luxury, Baslow’s very own Michelin Star restaurant awaits.

A sunny conservatory provides an inviting entrance to the cottage and leads through to a charming kitchen-dining room complete with all the essentials that guests require during their stay. At the front of the cottage there is a comfy lounge with a cosy feel and welcoming open fire. A 32 inch Smart television with Netflix, DVDs and books provide the perfect entertainment for a night in.

Stairs lead up to two bedrooms, one of which has a king size bed and captivating views across the village. The second bedroom contains a double bed, and there is a bathroom with a shower-over, hand basin and toilet also on this floor. Outside there is an enclosed sheltered patio area for relaxing outside that can be accessed via French doors from the lounge.

Very nice cottage. Well equipped and comfortable if a little tired in places. Location superb and nice to be able to access lovely walks without having to take car. Nice restaurants within a few minutes walk also.

Lovely homely cottage in a fabulous location with great amenities on doorstep !! Fab for our friends wedding over new year great we could visit Chatsworth house and estate fab walking very nearby and we did a lovely walk from the cottage around Baslow and Curbat edges - couldnt recommend it enough and well def be back be good to see in s summer setRead moreting too Thankyou Hide

This was a lovely warm cottage, in an ideal location, but furnishings were a bit tired and worn, and it all needed a deep clean. There were irritating details which could have been improved on (updating the information book and leaving the means to make a fire on the first night would have been good). That aside, we had a lovely time during our staRead morey. It is easy walking distance to the village and to Chatsworth, and a short drive to many interesting things to see and visit. Hide
