Offering ample space both inside and out, the property boasts a beautiful bespoke kitchen/diner, elegant lounge with wood burner, opulent bedrooms with exposed ceiling trusses and an al fresco dining spot with breath-taking rural views. Wander the rolling hills that surround this property or head to nearby Tissington (14 miles) to take on the 13-mile trail before stopping for a sweet treat at Bakewell (7.5 miles).

Rustle up tasty family meals in the stylish bespoke kitchen/diner, which contains everything you should need plus a Bluetooth radio and Nespresso coffee machine for those all-important morning caffeine hits. Celebrate special occasions on the patio through French doors, before settling down on one of the plump sofas in the contemporary lounge beyond, where a roaring wood burner sits within a grand fireplace. Sleeping four across two bedrooms both with en-suites, each room has been beautifully finished to include exposed beams and ceiling trusses, antique-style furniture and luxurious linens.

In the summer, there’s no better way to while away an afternoon than with a BBQ on the patio overlooking the spectacular rolling Derbyshire countryside. Hidden away down a peaceful country road, the property offers a scenic location with miles upon miles of walking routes from the doorstep. Once you’ve conquered the surrounding hills and valleys, take on the 13-mile Tissington Trail, which runs from Parsley Hay in the north to Ashbourne in the south. Soak up some culture at nearby Chatsworth House (12 miles) or Haddon Hall (10 miles) or browse the independent shops, cafes and pubs of Bakewell, Buxton (8.5 miles) or Ashbourne (14 miles).

This property is absolutely gorgeous in just about every way. Stunningly appointmented, well laid out and super-clean. The location in the Peaks is great with lots of good walks and easy access to many places to visit or to eat and drink. Would definitely consider returning!

The cottage was extremely comfortable and well-equipped. It was a perfect location for exploring the Dales and there was lots of information, as well as maps supplied by the owner. The owner was very helpful and responded to any queries quickly. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a gift of eggs, butter, milk, scones and wine!

Lovely cottage in a private setting. Close to many great walks including the Tissington Trail & Dovedale. Cottage is really spacious for four people with two large bedrooms & fantastic showers, loads of hot water & really well equipped. This is difficult because when you find a place like this part of you thinks keep quiet about it! However the fact that weve rebooked for same time next year says it all. We had guests up for part of one of the weekends and theyve booked as well! Beautiful barn conversion, well equipped. Lovely big rooms and a decent sized tv in sitting room . Bedrooms are both en-suite and bedrooms roomy with comfortable beds. Good sized garden and away from the road so safe for our dog. Friendly pets next door .Thanks to Charlie for all the treats left for us . We hope to return next year .

Woof! What an amazing place to stay. This is by far the best holiday home Ive ever stayed in with the most brilliant garden for me to play and sniff around safely. The views from the barn were totally stunning and my family spent time there keeping cool and chilling during the heatwave. What a perfect place to relax, unwind and use as a base to explore the Peaks. We're a family with 2 young kids who loved the days out, and then coming back to play in the garden and house for the last part of the day. The house is fantastic, comfy and well set up.
