This imposing house, built in 1802 and sensitively restored in 2018 provides a classic period property with 21st century amenities and a truly unique holiday home for friends and families to get together.

Set in the Holme Valley with 30 acres of private woodland and meadows to explore, this magnificent Georgian house provides stunning holiday accommodation for 18 guests. Lying along the northern fringe of the Peak District, this fabulous house dates back over two centuries. This elegant and impressive property makes a superb venue for a family get-together or a group celebration, with a wealth of extras including a cinema projector, games facilities and croquet lawn.

The stylish drawing room offers beautiful views over the grounds and is an ideal space to sit back in front of the wood burner in the evening. The lounge, known as the Red Room, has been richly decorated and features a pool table, cinema projector, wood burner, a selection of board games and an electric digital piano. The attractive kitchen/breakfast room has a fantastic range of equipment, while the formal dining room provides a tasteful backdrop to any special family meal. The ground floor also offers a smaller butler’s kitchen and the first of the property’s sumptuous bedrooms. The remaining seven bedrooms are on the first floor, along with three bathrooms and a snug with a double sofa bed, TV and table football. The patio offers plenty of space for dining alfresco, and overlooks the extensive gardens and surrounding woodland. The gardens feature a gently sloping lawn, a croquet court, two ponds, stone walls and a summerhouse with seating, a fridge and BBQ.

Close to the Pennine Way, the property is perfect for exploring Marsden Moor (6 miles) and the northern parts of the Peak District (2 miles). The popular market town of Holmfirth, famous for Last of the Summer Wine, is nearby (4.5 miles), with other local attractions including Folly Dolly Falls, Castle Hill and Standedge Tunnel (all within 6.5 miles).

Healey House was an incredible destination for a long weekend for a large group of friends. Such a beautiful house with stunning interiors and every facility you u could wish for. We loved the kitchen, the woodburner, pool table and croquet especially!

This property is perfect for hosting a family gathering/celebration. The accommodation was ideal for our family with plenty of space both inside and out. The owners were very helpful in providing information before our visit.

Healey House is a magnificent old property with a perfect blend of old world charm and modern convenience. The hosts, Mark and Mel, went to great lengths to ensure our comfort and took pleasure in our enjoyment of the house and grounds. Beautiful house with plenty of space to chill, work, cook and play. Comfortable spacious bedrooms and gorgeous bathrooms and a superbly equipped kitchen. Loved the croquet lawn and herons nest and deer on the lawn. The owners Malcolm and Mel could not have been nicer or more welcoming and are very close by if needed.

A stunning building. Huge amounts of space to relax, was greeted by wild deer on the lawn each morning, picture perfect. You can't fail to be impressed by the property. The perfect place for our surprise 50th birthday party.

Healey House is a lovely property which has been very well maintained. It has all modern comforts one could wish for (modern kitchen, bathrooms etc) while retaining all the charm of the original early 19th century house. The owners went through considerable trouble to make us feel welcome and to make our stay very enjoyable.
