A delightful property dating back to a pre-Victorian era with connections to Florence Nightingale.  An original tiled flooring and Victorian style conservatory gives a real sense of history and character. Positioned on the edge of the village of Holloway.

Enjoying an idyllic village position with outstanding views, this property is brimming with history. Easily accessed via the M1 motorway or the railway stations of Belper, Matlock or Whatsandwell this property is a great base for exploring the natural beauty of the Peak District National Park. Situated on the eastern fringe of the National Park, the house has great walks right on the doorstep, not forgetting the array of village amenities accessible by foot such as the trendy coffee shop located next door.  With lots to do in the area which was the hub of the industrial revolution, take a walk down the Cromford Canal or visit Crich Tramway Museum or the famous John Smedley knitwear factory mill shop.

The Victorian style conservatory with an original tiled floor gives the property a real sense of character. The conservatory leads through to the spacious dining room which has a large dining table which can seat 10 people and is tastefully decorated in keeping with the properties age.  The separate lounge which can seat 10 people has a large open fire set into an original Victorian fireplace giving this room an inviting ambience for those cosy nights in. The room has large windows which not only give the space a wonderful brightness, but also offer breath taking views of the landscape. The kitchen is reached up a couple of steps off the dining room and has exposed beams and an original stone fireplace making this fully equipped kitchen a wonderful space for dining at the breakfast bar. A games room with a pool table is located just off the kitchen, and ensures guests are entertained throughout their stay.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king size double bed and an en-suite shower room, with a toilet and hand basin. The second and third bedrooms are spacious with one containing two single beds and the other three single beds. The final bedroom is a charming family room complete with a king size bed and a single bed. The room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower-over, toilet and hand basin making it the ideal family bedroom. There is also a main bathroom on this floor with a bath, shower-over, toilet and hand basin which ensures there are no queues for the shower in the morning.

Outside there are delightful patio areas which take in the stunning views, there is a secluded patio which is the ideal spot if you wish to hire a hot tub to make your stay extra special, from here you can take in the views across the landscape. There is also a secure rear lawn garden which is accessed via some stone steps.  All in all this house offers a beautiful place and location for a holiday to be remembered.

A very spacious, well-equipped holiday home in a beautiful location. The owners are also very responsive. When we had a problem with the wi-fi, they responded within a few minutes. And when we complained about the mattress in one of the bedrooms, the owner turned up with a brand new Simba one a couple of hours later. Amazing!

This is a lovely family house with plenty of space. It is clean and comfortable. The pool table was very popular with the young adults in our party.

This house truly was a home away from home. It was restored carefully with its history in mind. With walks from the house, a nice caf and a brilliant butcher next door we enjoyed the location with its beautiful views in the valley in every respect. Fantastic house. So much space for us all to move around and to relax together. We never felt ontop of each other. The bedrooms are also incredibly spacious. The pool table was a great bonus as we had 3 under 18s with us. And it being part of the house was perfect. The owners were very helpful when we had a problem with the heating. The location waRead mores great and we'd recommend the coffee shop next door and the butchers down the road. Will definitely be returning. Hide

A delightful cottage ,enjoyed by all the family! Everything was provided for,from high chairs and travel cots for our little people,to iron and dishwasher for the adults. A warm and friendly home from home,that had a cafe next door and a great butchers a few houses away. A magical garden and plenty of parking on and off site!

Annual reunion. Ideal accommodation for 4 couples. Delightful and comfortable house. Well-equipped kitchen. Ideally situated to visit a number of attractions. Tastefully restored and a great feel to it. "Fuel" cafe next door excellent. Owner quick to respond in resolving an issue with the heating.
