This cottage is the perfect escape for families and groups wanting a quality and stylish base in the heart of this popular Peak District village with an abundance of countryside to explore all around.

Whether you’re looking for a stylish village retreat to celebrate a special occasion in, or a gorgeous stone cottage where you can get the gang from work together for a team-building session, this impressive property in the village of Longnor is a great accommodation choice. Spend your days hiking the limestone ravines of Dovedale or soaking up village life in Longnor’s cobble-stoned marketplace. In the evening, enjoy a sociable meal around the cottage’s dining table, or explore Longnor’s cosy pubs and eateries.

Featuring thoughtful, chic design touches throughout, this spacious cottage sleeps 12 people over six bedrooms. After a fabulous day exploring the national park, come home and make your way up a couple of steps to the sleek and stylish kitchen. The chef in your group will find everything they need to rustle up a culinary masterpiece. Get everyone together around the dining table under the beautiful chandelier in the living/dining room. After dinner, head out to the small courtyard with a glass of wine; slip onto the sofa in the living area and catch up on your favourite TV shows; challenge your friends to a table football tournament in the games room; or make your way to one of the local pubs for a pint. At the end of the day, there’s one bedroom on the ground floor, three bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms with low beams on the second floor (accessed via their own individual staircases) to choose from.

Grab your hiking boots and spend an invigorating day exploring the Roaches (6 miles). Together with Hen Cloud and Ramshaw Rocks, this gorgeous area forms a gritstone escarpment that’s been worn into fantastic shapes by the elements. Alternatively, hit the water at Carsington Water (19 miles), where you can try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing or powerboating.

A beautiful holiday home in a lovely part of Britain. It's very comfortable, well equipped, spacious and characterful - big enough for family plus friends who joined us. The location is excellent for reaching all parts of the Peak District, and the village itself has shops/cafes/pubs.

We stayed for a week and loved the cottage! It was spotlessly clean, airy and felt so homely. The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. The location was great and there are local amenities in the square. Would definitely recommend!

A well finished and spacious house for a larger group. We were two families consisting of 4 adults and 6 kids and we had plenty of space and almost a room each! Two dishwashers in the kitchen - sounds excessive? Nope! With that many people it made cleaning up after meals a doddle. Huge tv in the main longue and games room with a second tv (and tablRead moree football) meant big kids and adults could have separate spaces. Village shop and local chippy too! A highly recommended stay. Hide

Had a wonderful 7 night stay at the Horseshoe Inn with my family July 2021. The house was perfect and provided everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable family get together. The Longnor location in the Peak District is ideal for accessing many of the recommended walks and cycle rides such as the Monsal and Tissington trails, Ludds ChurchRead more and the Roaches, Kinder Scout etc etc. All within a 30 minute drive. There is no parking outside the property. A notice has been put up & even tho we had only just finished unloading we had locals rapping on window shouting for us to move our cars. The car park is opposite the premises & only a few feet to walk but misleading in online description. Apart from this we all enjoyed our stay.
