The village is also well known for its annual Well Dressing with carnivals, parades and the annual food festival. By car, Mam Tor and Castleton are a few miles away, with the spa town of Buxton and the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire’s Chatsworth House both within 12 miles’ drive. The pretty town of Bakewell, 10 miles, is a must-visit as it is home to the famous Bakewell Pudding and is a wonderful town to explore.
