Delightful cottage in a friendly little village. Ideal location with nearby shop, pub and country walks from the door. Cottage has thick walls with wide windowsills great to sit on and gaze over pretty garden to village and hills beyond. Front door opens directly onto street, but its a very quiet road and that was no problem for us. Helpful, frienRead moredly owners. We had a wonderful week and hope to go again. Hide

We had a great 3 night stay at the Little Cottage over New Year. The cottage is perfectly situated in an idealic Deberyshire village. The cottage is very comfortable with everything we needed available. It was cozy warm. Our 2 little dogs were welcome and they loved the fact that the whole area is dog and muddy boot friendly. Absolutely superb cottage in a perfect location. Charming village shop selling local produce and dog-friendly pub serving fine ale, delicious food and dog treats. But don't tell anybody as we would like to keep it to ourselves ........

A very bijou cottage which for its size was very well equipped and thought out. We were glad however, that there were only two of us and a large dog, as four people would have been very crowded (seating around the kitchen table for two only - eating in relays perhaps?) and it seemed impossible to make the bed in the second smaller bedroom into a doRead moreuble, as there would have been no room to move. Would recommend for two people only. Hide

The clue is perhaps in the name Little Cottage. Just about enough room for three adults and dog but not four. Excellent location in easy walk of pubs, tearoom and shop. Good walks into Bakewell and circular walk to Monsal Head. Nearby Thornbridge Hall Garden Chatsworth and Haddon hall. Well equipped kitchen but small dining table. Location excellent for walking in the Dales, cottage extremely well equipped. Nice small garden, lovely view. Village very picturesque with good facilities. Parking tricky and I feel this is a 2 or at a push 3 person cottage rather than 4.

It is a lovely cottage in a great village, very clean and welcoming. It is very small for 4 people (2 were small children), mainly the smaller bedroom. There is parking outside the cottage by the garage but because of narrow road, only suitable for a small car. There is parking in a nearby road though. The garden appears bigger in the picture on thRead moree website but despite being small, has a couple of seating areas which is good. Great to have a park so close and the village is very pleasant. Lovely little cottage, ideal location, only two minutes from the village stores and Bulls Head pub. Wonderful!!!!!

Reviewed by Gareth 30th June 2018

The cottage is not big enough for 4 people. There was plenty of space for us as a couple with a dog, but the concept of pulling out a mattress from beneath the bed in the second bderoom is not viable. Overall, the cottage provides a good base to explore the local area. Many useful books and maps are provided.

Little Cottage is in a wonderful location. Only a few minutes walk away from a very well stocked village shop, two pubs and the church. A small but well designed cottage with a secure garden ideal for a dog and to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine.
