Lovely well decorated, cosy cottage with good equipment and facilities. Just let down by the bed which has a bar at the foot making it uncomfortable for tall people. If they replaced it with a better bed like the one shown in promo pictures, the cottage would be perfect. Great location for walking and well presented, clean and cosy.

This is an excellent, cosy, well equipped little cottage. Its a good location for exploring the Peak District. It seems to have had a recent refurbishment not shown in the pictures. Though not greatly altered, it was a nice surprise.

Cottage has been refurbished. A couple of issues let it down. The bed was not as shown on the website and the mattress springs were seriously spent one side. A wonderfully charming property and easy to find given the hosts instructions. Lower Barn was comfortable and cosy and met our needs perfectly. The kitchen and living areas are spacious enough for 2 people, the bedroom and en-suite are well equipped and made us want to stay longer! You will not be disappointed. Wanted a mini break, stayed here with my partner for four days. Needless to say it was perfect. The cottage itself was lovely; cosy yet spacious, stunning views. Highlights were the power shower and the bed - so comfortable! It was a great location too, with all amenities being accessable and some beautiful walks. This is part of two linked barn conversions that have been superbly renovated, and are very warm and comfortable. The cottage was very overpriced for its condition and equipment provided. Had to clean several items in the kitchen as they were coated in meat fat. No hand soap was provided in bathroom or kitchen. Bathroom had a strange smell like nicotine smoke.
