A delightful stone property nestled between the contrasting landscapes of the White and Dark Peaks, this cottage offers lovely village accommodation with amenities just a gentle stroll away.

This location splits between the White Peak of the south and the contrasting moorland scenery of the Dark Peak to the north both easily accessible from this base this being one of five cottages at this location. A gentle walk will take you into the village itself where you can enjoy a relaxing drink by the village green perhaps having visited some of the many country houses around the area from Haddon and Keddleston Hall to the south or the jewel of the area Chatsworth House.

The extremely and very spacious accommodation is apparent as you enter the cottage the area to your right being the fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials you will require for your stay and is open to the dining area. The room is split by a wooden central staircase the area to the left being the lounge sitting area where you can relax in comfortable seating. The stairs lead to the two bedrooms one with a double bed and the second having two single beds. Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom with bath and shower over toilet and hand basin.

There is shared use of the gardens to the front of the cottages which enjoy the sun throughout most of the day and into the early evening.

The cottage is one of five in this location. When booked together, the cottages sleep up to 16 people.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The facilities in the cottage were generally first class. Another very good feature was the fact that an information pack had been put together with lots of useful emergency contact details as well as general information regarding things to do & see in the area. I would add however that the property is described as being within a gentle stroll of tRead morehe village. It is in fact about 1.2 miles along an unlit country lane. Downhill all the way & consequently uphill all the way back. Dog friendly. Hide

We had a lovely week exploring the Peak District, using Milken's Cottage as our base. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and a joy to stay in. The amenities were perfect and ideal for a relaxing getaway. We highly recommend the coffee, ice-cream and burgers from Tagg Lane Diary, as well as the Bull's Head in Monyash Village just down the road. IRead moref you get the chance to explore Eyam, pop in for a slice of spinach and feta tart and a cream-tea at the Village Green Cafe. Hide
