Situated in a perfect position to enjoy all the Peak District National Park has to offer. Spend your days exploring the picturesque villages and their traditional shops, cafes and pubs. For walkers, the nearby High Peak Trail provides an excellent starting point for a challenging hike through this spectacular part of the world. Carsington Water boasts a variety of scenic walks around the reservoir and beyond. Why not try a spot of kayaking, cycling, sailing or fishing. Matlock Bath has a huge selection of cafes and ice cream parlours and is also the starting point for the cable car that takes you to the Heights of Abraham and many footpaths are accessible near to the cottage.
Step into the warm and inviting kitchen/diner with a beautiful traditional stone fireplace providing home to a warming wood burner. The cottage-style cream kitchen units marry perfectly with the oak work tops, the area offers an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Come together around the dinner table and plan the day’s activity ahead. After a long day exploring the countryside relax in the lounge with comfy sofas and another wood burner to light and enjoy the warmth and pop something good on the TV and relax. Heading upstairs the master bedroom offers a huge vaulted ceiling with feature mezzanine area, relax in the king-size bed to get a good night’s rest, and an en-suite bathroom with bath and WC. The second bedroom offers a double bed and an en-suite shower room and WC.
There is a small courtyard to the front of the cottage with bistro table and seating, a wonderful spot to relax with a coffee and watch village life meander by. There is roadside parking, subject to availability.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
