Also, Derwent Valley with a picturesque series of dams and reservoirs where the 'dam busters' trained. In the immediate vicinity of Moorfield are the hills, valleys and streams that make up The Peak District National Park. The Pennine Way is also within two miles and the peaks of Kinder Scout and Bleaklow are within easy reach. The market town of Glossop, with its transport links to Manchester and local towns is close by.
