This beautiful property is situated on the southern fringes of the Peak District just outside the town of Matlock, with plenty of attractions and quaint villages to discover nearby. Cromford is your nearest destination to head for if you’re after shops, restaurants and other amenities; walk alongside the river and soak up the tranquil atmosphere, or explore the history of Arkwright’s Cromford Mill on a guided tour, before indulging in a hearty meal in one of the village’s popular pubs. Chatsworth House is just a short drive from the property, and Gulliver’s Kingdom is perfect for a family day out. Alternatively, there are lots of activities to try at Carsington Water, and the beautiful town of Bakewell is close by.
Upon entering the property, the kitchen is a spacious room done in a farmhouse style, with its main focal points being an oil Aga and an electric Aga cooker module, and there’s also a dishwasher so you won’t have to argue over who does the washing up. Stepping down from the kitchen you’ll find the utility room, which has a fridge/freezer and plenty of storage space. Through to the lounge, this light and airy room is made all the more homely by the cosy wood burner, and has comfortable seating and a TV so you can sit back and wind down after a day of exploration. Just off the lounge is the conservatory, where you will also find the large dining table with seating for up to eight people creating the ideal space for dinner with views across the garden. On the ground floor, you will also find one of the four bedrooms, which has high ceilings to create a more spacious feeling, and twin zip-and-link beds that can be made into a super-king-size on request. There is also a handy downstairs shower room with toilet. On the first floor of the property you’ll find the further three bedrooms: the first room has twin zip-and-link beds (that can be made into a king-size on request), with a handy WC next door, whilst up a few more stairs you will find a bright king-size bedroom. Across the hall, there is a shower room with WC, next door to which there is a bathroom with roll top bath and his and hers wash basins. The last room is a stunning space with a super-king-size bed, and a light and airy en-suite bathroom with hand-held shower attachment and WC.
Outside you will find a selection of outbuildings, one of which is the games room which comprises of a pool table, table football and a dart board, creating the perfect chill out space. The second of the blocks is a drying room containing a washing machine and dryer, so you can leave wet coats and boots in a separate area, whilst there is also a shower block with two shower cubicles and a WC. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the sunshine, including a patio with a table and chairs for the whole group to have an evening drink, a hot tub to soak in and enjoy the peace and quiet, and an area laid to lawn to any garden games you might want to play.
