With free-range chickens pecking around, and sheep grazing in the nearby fields, the cottage is a great getaway for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers exploring the quaint villages, abundant woodlands and superb countryside of the Derwent Valley.
A few steps lead down to the courtyard and into the cottage’s welcoming country-style kitchen/diner. Equipped with a wide range of equipment and featuring beautiful, exposed beams, the kitchen is perfect for cooking all your favourite meals which you can share around the charming farmhouse-style oak dining table. Exploring further, the charming lounge features a TV/DVD and plenty of comfortable seating, providing an ideal space for you to all relax in at the end of a great day out. The ground floor also has a handy shower room. The first floor offers two cosy bedrooms: a double and a twin, both tastefully decorated in light and soothing neutral tones. Heading outside, the back garden is a lovely spot for a BBQ or al fresco drinks, and has plenty of outdoor furniture.
The cottage makes a fantastic bolthole for exploring the Peak District, with popular destinations nearby including Chatsworth House, the Nine Ladies Stone Circle, Haddon Hall and the picturesque town of Bakewell (all within 7.5 miles). The bustling market town of Matlock has some great places to eat and drink, with plenty of nearby landmarks and attractions including Matlock Farm Park (2 miles), the Heights of Abraham, Gulliver’s Kingdom (both 5.5 miles) and Cromford Mills (6.5 miles).
