It was in a lovely place with lovely views and a good centre for getting places. Amenities nearby, shame the restaurant we wanted to go was closed on Monday. With reference to recommending it to a friend as a lot of our friends are around our age, I am unsure about this

Located at the southern end of the Peak District, close to Matlock (baths), Bakewell and Chatsworth. Beautifully isolated up a winding farm track that has a distinct alpine feel to it and perched on the side of the hill overlooking the surrounding dales. Very comfortable indeed. There is everything you need in the kitchen. Plenty of books and leaflets about the area which proved useful. There is so much to do we were out every day cycling, walking sightseeing. Car essential for this holiday. We had a most enjoyable get away from it all break and hope to return. Thank you.

Highly recommend for a restful and peaceful break with amazing views of Matlock. Easy walking nearby depending on preferences. The cottage itself does not lack any facilities and is a very comfortable home from home. We felt very welcome. Would love to go back in summer and spend more time enjoying it and the surrounding area.
