Lovely cottage with everything you need set in a beautiful village. Will most certainly be going again

What a lovely cottage and very nice owners who came around to show us how to use things as well as a fantastic welcome pack. The village location is excellent with a short walk to everything, some really good long walks around and the bus stops within a few yards. There is a lot going on in the area and this cottage is ideally placed.

We were met at the property by the owners, who were very friendly and helpful. Initial impressions were that the cottage was warm and cosy, with efficient central heating as well as an attractive gas fire for a quick boost if you needed it. In the kitchen was a lovely little welcome basket, with tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolate, with a bottle ofRead more milk in the fridge, as well as a vase of fresh flowers. We loved it, wouldnt hesitate to go again and thoroughly recommend you visit! Hide

Recently returned from a weeks stay in this lovely very well equipped cottage, which has had a brand new bathroom recently installed. Although small it is perfectly adequate for 2 people. The kitchen is very well equipped, including washing machine, and the bathroom even had small bottles of shower gel, shampoo and plenty of toilet rolls supplied. We stayed in Orchard Cottage for a short break in early November, we absolutely loved it. Really cosy, warm and clean, really well equipped, the perfect property for a romantic break! The location is perfect too for hiking and cycling on the Monsal Trail. Lovely friendly pub, The Bull, just a few minutes walk from the cottage.

The Peak District is stunning, the locals were friendly and amazingly helpful. The cottage we stayed in could not have been any better, pubs within 5 minutes walk, serving excellent food too. Ashford in the Water is a stunning place to stay, Bakewell, Castleton and Chatsworth House are definitely worth a visit.

Small but beautiful. So well thought out, tastefully furnished and decorated. A good firm bed and all you need in a cottage in a charmingly historic village. Parking immediately outside the door and two nice pubs a short stroll away past the church. This was a lovely cottage to stay in. Well equipped and beautifully fitted making it feel much bigger than it is. Great location too. We hope to be back! The local pubs were both good, and having a village shop on hand very helpful when we realised that the pubs didn't serve food in the evening or Bank Holiday Monday (or Sunday's)
