The location was wonderful, we felt truly rural and free to roam. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed ourselves fully.

This is a beautiful cottage, far from the beaten track with amazing views. Comfortably furnished with all mod cons. Be aware there is no phone signal in the valley but as there is wifi you are not totally cut off. Will definitely stay there again.

Great location but a bit hard to find - make sure you follow the short route rather than the sat nav. Cottage is a good standard but not 'luxury' - non-matching bed linen and towels, no welcome package etc. The dishwasher door also has a nasty habit of pinging up to hit your hands. Good to have lots of bathroom facilities for three teenagers thoughRead more. Hide

Had a fantastic 4 night break, staying at Ostlers cottage. Owners were very helpful. Location very quiet and beautiful. No need to travel to enjoy the amazing walks and views, as straight from the door step. Will definitely revisit. Thank you.

Really really beautiful location, but no view at all from small back sitting out area for Ostlers. Maybe allowed to use space at end of Bodgers, but as no information or helpful contact was provided it was difficult to tell. If a group has both cottages no problem. The drive would have been dodgy for a car any smaller /lower than ours (Golf) . NeedRead more more prior access information. Feel the cottage lacked care and any real effort. Said on the gate -"Luxury Cottages" Not so. Hide

Well equipped, pretty cottage with great views. We really enjoyed our stay visiting Buxton, the henge at Arbor Low and running/walking into Dovedale. Hartington has a great village store, farm shop and pubs. WiFi patchy but not a problem for us. Owners very helpful.
