This historic cottage has been thoughtfully refurbished and decorated to reflect its interesting history, while also providing a contemporary and comfortable feel. Within walking distance of local shops and tea rooms.

Located on a quiet village street with neighbouring tearooms and welcoming pubs, this quaint cottage offers an ideal family base in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Ideally sleeping four guests and one dog, this self-catering accommodation promises to provide an undisturbed stay in the delightful Heart of England. Pack up bikes, walking boots and plenty of outerwear to explore the area in full, venturing into the Derbyshire Dales or exploring walks along the banks of the River Derwent.

On arrival, you’re instantly met with a pretty courtyard with a bistro set and flowers, the perfect introduction to this chocolate-box cottage. Step inside and feel instantly at home in the lounge/diner where low ceilings with wooden beams meet traditional and cheerful decor. Whether your visit is met with rain or shine, this property offers an abundance of space in which to unwind together. The lounge is made inviting thanks to the warm glow of the wood burner, a delight to behold after sitting down to a home-cooked meal. Alternatively, in the summer months, the garden to the rear is a lovely space with a lawn, flower beds and a place to sit with a drink.

Along with plenty of walking opportunities close by, this property offers a great position for exploring nearby National Trust locations. The Longshaw Estate is 5 miles away and is a great place to park up and explore the woodlands. Keep a close eye out for wild red deer and much more amongst the greenery. You’ll also find the world-famous Chatsworth House just 6.5 miles from home. Once the filming location for the blockbuster Pride and Prejudice, this grand property boasts exhibitions and tours along with mature gardens and a farmyard for children.

Shower tray overflows. Shower head needs cleaning. Shower mat needed. Toilet seat needs to be tightened. Base of fridge is rusty. Ice box door in fridge does not close properly. Double bed is very uncomfortable- gave us both a back ache. Replace the chest of drawers in the bedrooms with wardrobes - only providing four coat hangers is insufficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pine Door, Eyam is a lovely village and very convenient for visiting local attractions and towns. The cottage was comfortable with everything we needed and the seating area at the front of the cottage was a real sun trap. We ate at Maazi Indian restaurant in Hathersage which was delicious and reasonably priced. TheRead more Miners Arms in Eyam (a few yards from Pine Door) served lovely food also. It is worth walking round the village for the history as is the museum. Hide

Lovely cosy, comfy cottage. Beautiful, interesting village in a great location for days out or just pop over the road for delicious cakes! Local pub meal was also spot on!

The area is the real star of the show - good local walks, really good eateries within walking distance. The cottage is small and would be a squeeze for four adults. Log burner was welcomed. Needs a bit more attention to detail in the cottage to make it really great accommodation.

Pine Door is perfectly situated to explore the history of Eyam and the delights of the local area. Right in the middle of Eyam with plenty of short or longer walks on your doorstep. We found that we could get to many places in a 20 minute drive too. The cottage itself is perfectly comfortable for a family of 4 with a lovely little sun trap at the fRead moreront of the property.
