A spacious apartment in a converted mill with unbeatable waterside views. The property offers a private riverside terrace for alfresco dining and there is an 18th century pub nearby.

Millers Dale is a small picturesque village in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Once a hive of activity as a junction on the Midland Railway, it is now a peaceful base from which to explore the limestone dales that fall on either side of the free flowing River Wye. With two nature reserves nearby, there is plenty of flora and fauna to be seen before stopping for a bite to eat at the welcoming Angler’s Rest.

Entrance to the apartment through a grand foyer with several steps which take you to the entrance of this spectacularly converted mill. The front door opens into the hallway which leads to the very spacious open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. The kitchen has a distinctly nautical theme with blue splash back tiles, white cabinets and wooden flooring. There is a good-sized dining table beyond and a welcoming sitting area in which to relax and enjoy the stunning water views through the two large picture windows. A decorative gas fireplace sits between the windows, while a small snug area can be found in the corner of the room – perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat.

The main bedroom features a grand sleigh bed, crisp white walls and a further large picture window, allowing plenty of light to fill the room. The second bedroom also has a king sized double bed, and both enjoy en suite bathrooms. Further to this there is a handy toilet off the hallway and a utility room off the kitchen.

A private shared riverside terrace and garden sitting out area to the rear of the property is the perfect spot for relaxing and watching the river flow by.

Lovely apartment in a lovely location, however no local shop so make sure you take all the food you need.

Overall the apartment was lovely. It was spacious and very comfortable. It could just do with a little maintenance and a lot of the basic items need replacing. A little money spent would go a long way to improving the overall stay. A good supply of toilet rolls, soap and dishwashing items but no salt and only one bin liner so used the large black bRead morein liner to keep the rubbish in. The only other down side was the noise from the waterfalls just below the bedroom window. Hide
