Situated in the rugged landscape of the North Peak, the cottage is a great property for walkers looking to explore the surrounding landscape. Some of the most popular walking areas in the Peak District are close by, including Curbar Edge, Calver Edge and Stanage Edge. Meander through the pretty market town of Bakewell and its quaint shops and cafes, or if culture is the order of the day the nearby historical spa town of Buxton has a theatre and opera house.
The 17th Century cottage embraces open-plan living with a spectacular kitchen-diner and lounge area that has exposed stone walls creating a wonderful sense of warmth and character. The country style kitchen is complete with all the essentials including a Rayburn. The lounge area has a log burning stove which provides a central feature to this impressive living space that also boasts exposed beams adding to the charm.
Upstairs there is a cosy mezzanine bedroom with a double bed. The exposed wood beam ceiling creates an enchanting atmosphere in this lovely cottage bedroom. The cottage has a bathroom which consists of a bath, hand-held shower, toilet and hand basin.
Outside there are five acres of gorgeous gardens which include a Japanese garden, an orchard, a kitchen garden and a pond. Chickens roam freely throughout the grounds, adding to the country charm of this delightful property. Seasonal food from the gardens can be pre-ordered.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
