Escape to the pretty village of Alton to this character cottage with lots of charm. With two pubs within easy walking distance there is no need to argue over who does the washing up.

Set in the picturesque and vibrant village of Alton, this spacious cottage is perfect for a getaway with family or friends. There are two welcoming pubs within a short walk and a selection of attractions for a fun-filled day out. Explore the southern Peak District on foot or by bike with plenty of trails within reach. Plate up in the country-style kitchen, while the utility area is handy for taking care of the washing. There’s plenty to keep you entertained in the games room with a PlayStation 2, a retro cards table, and tabletop football. Upstairs, you’ll find three attractive bedrooms and the option of a shower or a relaxing bath after your endeavours. Plan your next walk over an al fresco meal on the patio.

A really spacious, comfortable and characterful property. We had a great stay with 2 teenagers and dog. The garden is sheltered and we enjoyed sunny lunch and evening meals outside. Although the property doesn't have its own parking, this wasn't a problem as we were always able to park nearby.
