This family friendly cottage is perfect for those wanting a base in a popular picturesque village with pubs, miles of public footpaths and Bakewell and Chatsworth just a short drive away.

For walkers and cyclists, the nearby trails across the Monsal and Millers Dale are not to be missed, they offer jaw dropping views and stunning rolling countryside. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are just a short drive away. Alternatively, meander through the shops and cafes of Bakewell, home to a weekly Monday market and the renowned Bakewell Pudding. Its twin, spa-town, Buxton, is a short drive and offers a lively arts scene, including the opera house. Ashford-in-the-Water is nearby, offering country pubs and a village shop. Elsewhere are the historical villages of Eyam with its fascinating history and Foolow with its village green and duck pond, are just a short drive away.

Step into the lounge and take off your coat and boots and make yourself at home. Notice the comfy sofas surrounding the TV and feature fireplace with wood burner, the perfect place to retreat to and relax after a day hiking the hills. The kitchen/diner offers everything you need to enjoy a good meal during your stay including electric Range oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher with nearby dining table. Head upstairs where you will find a king-size bedroom and a bathroom with shower over bath and WC and a twin bedroom with views over the village. Taking the second flight of stairs to the second floor which boasts a vaulted ceiling offering lots of space and light, a king-size bedroom with a smart TV and en-suite shower and WC.

Outside there is an rear courtyard with table and chairs, a pleasant spot to sit and enjoy a morning coffee. Please note this does provide a walkway access for next door neighbours. There is handy bike storage for those who intend on exploring the hills on two wheels. Roadside parking, subject to availability.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This is a hidden gem - brilliant place in a great location with everything we needed for a really good holiday. It even has a pub across the road that does great food!!! We highly recommend it.
