Such a beautiful property, renovated to a very high standard. So welcoming we did not want to go out on one day of our break, but wanted to enjoy the property. Noisy cockrell next door, but you have to expect country sounds. Homemade shortbread on our arrival. Kitchen was so well equipped. Place was really clean.

Beautiful converted chapel in a small village near Hartington. Comfortable and homely, we had everything we needed for a great break. The kitchen is really well stocked and the property is nicely furnished. The beds were really comfy. A very nicely converted chapel, very spacious and the underfloor heating was fantastic for a cold wet and windy February weekend. There are some good eating places within a few miles, Staffordshire Knott just a few yards up the road (we ran there and back due to the wind and rain), The Manifold Inn, Devonshire Arms in Hartington and The George in ARead morelstonfield. There are plenty of good walks in the area. Overall a good weekend despite the weather. Hide

We had a really great stay in this lovely cottage. It was very clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. The owners kindly put out some lovely shortbread and fresh flowers for our arrival, such a nice surprise to start the holiday! I highly recommend a visit to the Devonshire Arms pub in Hartington for dinner (a short drive from the cottage).

A wonderfully converted Chapel, very comfortable with lovely features. We were a group of friends celebrating a birthday and the owner decorated the Chapel with bunting and balloons, such a special welcome. The scones and milk were also a lovely treat. A great base from which to explore the surrounding area.

Luxurious Chapel conversion with everything you need for your holiday. Homemade scones with butter and jam and milk, tea coffee etc were left for us on arrival. Very comfortable accommodation. Location was good for exploring surrounding counties but narrow roads mean travel takes longer.

Lovely property, perfectly located for local attractions including Chatsworth House, the Heights of Abraham and the Monsal Bike Trail. The chapel itself has been beautifully converted and is very well equipped for self catering. The cake and flowers were a lovely touch; it really was a home from home.

Beautifully renovated chapel offering spacious and comfortable accommodation. It is very well equipped with comfortable seating and beds. It is ideal for two couples. We had pretty awful weather and returning to the chapel always felt very welcoming. There is a pub/restaurant in walking distance and the food was very good - minor drawback is that iRead moret isnt always open! Very small village but can walk straight from the door and in good position to visit surrounding area. Hide
