A very well equipped, cosy and comfortable cottage. Ideal for a summer or winter break. Delicious meals at the pub next door, lovely walks, gentle or more ambitious, starting directly from the cottage and interesting little Derbyshire towns and villages to explore if one wants to take the car. I would very happily stay here again in the future. My Read morelittle dog was made welcome with a de luxe doggy bed and she was welcome too in the pub where we went for great meals. This is the second time we've visited, so we're clearly fans! The location is perfect, next door to a pub that serves possibly the best roast dinner we've ever had! The cottage scores very highly for the big things, but they've let the little things slip slightly, there weren't enough supplies like bin bags or toilet rolls, no tablets for the dishwRead moreasher etc. All very simple, silly little things, but it meant we had to pop to the shops! A bit of a deep clean might be worthwhile as well. Hide

The cottage was as good as we could have hoped. We particularly appreciated the welcome presents as a nice touch. The staff in the pub next door were friendly and helpful and were always happy to provide any help or information we asked for.

Lovely cottage with enclosed garden (good for the dog). It had everything we needed and was in a great location, with walks round the village and just 10 minutes drive to some great walking in the Peak District. We enjoyed dinner in the Tickled Trout pub next door as well!
