Grand and imposing with an impressive history, this Grade-II listed property sleeps ten and is a sheer delight for that special big holiday you have been planning. Positioned in idyllic Ashbourne with the Peak District National Park as your playground, you’ll soon find yourself thoroughly relaxed thanks to the abundance of scenic walks, country inns and cosy evenings spent feasting on good food and wine.

Decorated in the spirit of the past with antique furniture and a soothing colour palette, your accommodation is perfectly suited to family occasions. The property is fantastic with lots of space and character and is decorated beautifully - we really loved the elephant room where the kids slept. Wendy was really helpful with any queries we had. It was a bit chilly downstairs but soon warmed up when the fires got going. The property is well equipped and comfortable. Another good family Christmas at Old Hall. The kids loved the letter and presents that Santa (owners) left for them. A really nice touch. The adults appreciated the drinks and cakes found on arrival. An excellent location for a large family gathering with room to always find a quiet corner if so inclined. Recommend highly.

A fabulous property with an interesting history. It is very well equipped and the range cooker was perfect for large suppers with the family. My young grandchildren loved playing hide and seek through the house!

We have just spent a lovely Xmas at the old hall. The house was beautifully decorated for Xmas and the wood burners were an added bonus, making it very cosy. The beds were comfortable & linens were of good quality. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious for us all to gather. The stairs were a bit tricky for the older members of our group. A hanRead moredrail would help. Also a 2nd shower would be beneficial. Welcome pack was much appreciated. Overall a lovely house to stay in. Hide

We were each celebrating a significant birthday and invited our children and little granddaughters to join us. All 3 generations had a lovely time and the owners had prepared everything to make us feel welcome. The house is close to the Peak District and only a few yards from an hourly bus route from Derby for anyone coming by public transport. ORead moreld Hall is a 17th century house with a lot of historic features and, though the kitchen and bathrooms are very modern and spacious, guests should expect some low doorways and steps which are part of its character and appeal (as are the swallows nesting in the porch).
