Recently improved to a very high standard throughout this character Grade II barn conversion nestles on the edge of the village.There are good local walks from the doorstep and a short drive away is the popular market town of Ashbourne at the gateway into the Peak District National Park.Further good walks can be taken in Dovedale and there is cycling on the nearby Tissington Trail.Also a short drive away are the Country houses of Kedleston Hall Calke Abbey Melbourne Hall and Sudbury Hall.A quiet lane leads to the gated drive that has a garden sitting out area to the left.

Entry to the property is through the main door which leads into the ground floor hallway.Off the hallway is a utility/storage drying room and a small cloakroom with toilet and hand basin.Stairs from the hallway lead to the first floor open plan dining/lounge kitchen area that has all the essentials needed for your stay.Adding to the contemporary style of the property is an exposed stone wall and a vaulted heavily beamed ceiling which also adds character to the room.Off this room are the two bedrooms both with high ceilings and exposed beams the bedroom to the front has a double bed and overlooks the garden the bedroom to the rear has two single beds and views across fields and the surrounding countryside.The bathroom has a bath with shower over toilet and hand basin and the garden sitting out area adjoins the main entrance to the property

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It is perfectly located for lots of family days out. Although there are stairs from the front door to the main accommodation, the living space is all on one level which suited us very well. We found the location to be lovely and quiet and the beds were very comfortable!

The holiday cottage was excellent in every way. On arrival we were greeted by Mrs Colley who was very helpful. It is an a very nice location and has every comfort you could expect. The cottage is very well equipped and no problems with wifi or mobile phone reception. We had a very nice holiday.

We really enjoyed our week at Old Hall Farmhouse Barn. We found the barn comfortable and relaxing and it is in a perfect location . We enjoyed visiting Dovedale, Ilam , Hartington, Matlock and Buxton. The barn also had lots of places that were ideal for dog walking and the utility room is good for storing shoes and has a washing machine and dryer. Very comfortable cottage with everything thought of. There is open plan kitchen/diner and two good sized bedrooms. Quiet location up private road.
