Very clean throughout, the kitchen is well equipped and a nice welcome pack for arrival. Upstairs, the beds are really comfortable but the main bedroom faces a busy road and is noisy - if you are a light sleeper, choose the back bedroom. Having a walk in shower was a bonus, and the pressure is fabulous. Overall, had a great stay and would consider Read morereturning if we visit the area again. The Old Post Office was lovely and the owner was most accommodating and helpful. We were sent very clear instructions in plenty of time over what to do with regards to the measures in place for Covid. It was compact but had everything we needed for an extremely comfortable stay. The whole house was spotless and nicely decorated.

The Old Post Office is a cosy, and well equipped holiday home. Comfortable beds, and modern shower room. Lovely walks along the Peak Forest canal, and a short walk to the supermarket. Well located for visiting Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock etc. The very picturesque Monsal Head is well worth a visit. Good cottage, nice facilities though a bit dated. Front bedroom noisy due to road. Both hot as windows too heavy to open. Lovely little selection of goodies left for us. Handy for the dog as right by the canal. Very little in the village but good spot as vase for walkers.
