You’ll find an array of shops, including a supermarket, and a lovely dog-friendly pub just a short distance if you’ve taken your four-legged friend with you. There are lots of opportunities for walking; the canal makes for a flat and easy-going picturesque stroll, whilst the hills and valleys of the Peak District are never too far away. Explore the show caves at Castleton, head for the majestic Chatsworth House where you can marvel at its grandeur or explore one of the many exhibitions held throughout the year, or drive to one of the many popular towns nearby including Buxton, Matlock and Ashbourne.
On entering this traditional cottage, you are immediately greeted by a cosy, homely lounge; the open fire creates a focal point for the room, especially when lit and roaring in the winter months, whilst there are comfortable soft furnishings to relax on whilst enjoying a programme on the TV/DVD or reading one of the many books available. Walking through the well-equipped kitchen, you will find everything you may need during your stay, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The dining table seats two, but an extra table can be added to make room for four. On the first floor there are two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed, the other with a double bed. The shower room contains a shower and WC.
Accessed from the kitchen, there is a small yard area which leads on to some steep concrete steps taking you to the enclosed split-level garden comprising of a patio, stone gravelled area and outdoor seating – perfect for al fresco summer dining. There is roadside parking available at the front of the property.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
