Spreading across the floor of the Derwent Valley, the village is surrounded by stunning scenery and walking routes, including gritstone edges, heather-clad moorland, grassy heights, and limestone outcrops. There are off-road walks that lead directly onto Froggatt (1 mile) and Curbar Edge (1.5 miles) from the village, plus the National Trust-owned Longshaw Estate (4 miles) is close by. The magnificent Chatsworth House Estate, villages of Baslow, Eyam, and Bakewell, the ‘ancient capital of the Peak", are all within five miles, making this cottage the perfect romantic retreat at any time of year!

Set within the grounds of the owners’ home, step inside this pretty detached barn and into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which offers a warm and welcoming space. Notice the vast vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, tiled floor, and floor to ceiling windows that let the light flood in. Cook up a memorable meal in the kitchen which offers an electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. Take time over that special meal at the nearby dining table and relax on the comfortable sofas in front of the roaring wood burner and Smart TV after a day exploring the surrounding hills.
