Set within the owner’s smallholding, with sheep, goats, emus and Shetland ponies amongst others, this wonderfully pet-friendly getaway is perfect for those who love wildlife. After a day of hiking in the western Peak District, snuggle up by the wood burner with your canine companions.

This charming exposed-stone annexe boasts incredible views across the rolling hills. Step into the kitchen/diner, which has plenty of country-living character, providing a calm space for preparing a hearty meal to enjoy with the view. Curl up on the comfortable sofa in the lounge area and put on the wood burner to keep cosy on chillier evenings. Find your favourite show on TV and relax with a cup of tea. The attractive bedroom has everything you need for a restful night’s sleep, and you can begin your morning refreshed with a soak under the waterfall shower. Indulge in an al fresco breakfast on the enclosed patio to start your day off right.

Embark on the variety of trails nearby, such as the gritstone escarpment that consists of The Roaches, Hen Cloud and Ramshaw Rocks – popular for both walkers and climbers. Further south is the Manifold Trail that can be explored on foot or by bike, while the Three Shires Head is just 3 miles away with its idyllic pools, waterfalls and bridges. Comfortable, well equipped and set in a fabulous location. We walked straight from the property into spectacular scenery with great views. We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived with particular care given to our dogs to make sure they settled straight. Happy to recommend and will look to stay again to explore some more of the area.

Fantastic venue, accommodation and wonderful hosts. Everything we could have wished for and more. We were met by Agnieszka who showed us around.
