Acting as the base for your explorations, this quirky property sleeps two and is packed with rustic features and all the home comforts you need for your stay.

Arranged across varying levels and adjoining the owner’s home, your comfortable accommodation features high vaulted ceilings, whitewashed stone walls and an open coal fire for chilly evenings. A delightful location with a bird filled garden. The cottage was ideal for two people although the kitchen was a little compact and lacked storage space for food items. Overhaul the cottage was clean and cozy with gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside.

The perfect comfy retreat. The cottage has a beautiful view of reservoir & lovely Yorkshire walls, sheep & moors but feels completely private. Loved the birds on a feeder outside the window -pheasants that paraded themselves on the wall- also a daily visiting woodpecker. The cosy fire is a lovely treat but the heating is also so warm. Property was warm and cozy with good views across to fields and down to reservoir. Due to remote location we had no O2 or Vodafone reception at the property but this wasnt a problem as WiFi was excellent including video streaming.

Lovely quiet picturesque location, comfy bed, good size TV which is a bonus. Accomodation snug but has what you need for a shorter break (no washing machine). Outside space is generous but walled so once seated you cant then take advantage of the views. Sofas are uncomfortable which was a shame and WiFi only works in the lounge and no phone signal.Read more No welcome pack so take your own tea and milk so you can make a brew on arrival as local shops a drive away and limited opening hours. Spectacular views over the countryside and dam. Abundance of wildlife throughout the day with owls and bats in the evenings. The cottage itself was warm and inviting with the facilities you need to enjoy a relaxing break away. 1.4 miles to the Old plough and 1.9 miles to The Old Horns both serve food but be prepared for some hill climbs.

A very characterful property in an absolutely lovely area. We really enjoyed the open fire and the views were excellent. The bed is really comfortable!. You can do several walks directly from the property without having to drive, you are really near to three reservoirs. There is a small shop just a mile away. We will definitely return.
