This is one of two spacious and bright apartments at this location in the rural Hope Valley region of the Peak District, perfect for couples looking for peace and quiet and spectacular scenery.

The pretty Derbyshire village of Hope is the meeting place for the River Noe and Peakshole Water. It boasts an intriguing selection of cafes, pubs, a greengrocers, deli, farmers butchers and gallery. The Cheshire Cheese Inn is within walking distance of the property and serves homemade meals, light bites and a local Sunday roast. Popular Castleton is just a stone’s throw away and often hosts village events and celebrations.

A shared entrance hall guides you up a single flight of stairs and into the open plan apartment. On your right, the kitchen has been fitted with cream units and colourful splash back tiles – this is a sociable open space that’s ideal for entertaining. A dining table with room for four diners sits in the window just beyond the kitchen, with two large sofas and a coffee table in the other section of the room. The bedroom area behind has a pull down double bed set into a cosy alcove with a pretty rural view through the French windows beyond. This is a bright room thanks to the double aspect windows and French windows leading out to the patio area through a brick arch. The spacious bathroom has a bath and separate shower cubicle, tiled floor and exposed beam.

The private patio area is the perfect place to enjoy a BBQ as the sun sets, and is bordered by a low stone wall making the most of the spectacular view beyond.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A nice place for a couple of nights. We had a dog but struggled first thing and last thing to find somewhere to walk it apart from the driveway which is narrow and pitch black with a drop off both sides. The old hall pub within walking distance 500yrds maybe is great for breakfast and dinner and is welcoming with dogs and muddy boots. We stayed in Read morethe upper apartment is very clean and tidy had everything we needed with a nice view but within a close proximity to other guests and the main house. Hide

Choosing this cottage will be the best decision you could make. The cottage is beautiful, the view from your balcony is gorgeous and the owners are splendid. Most importantly, the areas to hike are abundance in picturesque sceneries.

The owners were very welcoming and the property could be perfect with a little extra care. It is in a beautiful position with walks from the door and a lovely terrace perfect for a cup of tea or a glass of wine at the end of the day. I would be happy to return in the future.

Had a wonderfully relaxing week here with the dogs and bike (although stupidly didn't appreciate how hilly it was until arrived). Amazing countryside on the doorstep, very dog friendly (although they were very curious of the sheep that would visit in the mornings), great location, nice to sit out on the patio in good weather. Fantastic apartment ideally located. Very comfortable and well equipped, having everything you need. The outside space (terrace) is perfect for a relaxing glass of wine! Would not hesitate in booking again.

Our holiday cottage was set in a very peaceful location. Our upper apartment was ideal... spacious, beautifully furnished with all mod cons. We enjoyed our stay.
