A converted barn that enjoys stunning rural views and a cosy yet bright and airy interior. Walking distance from the local pub and access to a trail into the parklands of Chatsworth House.

This barn conversion is ideally located to explore the Derbyshire Dales area of the Peak District National Park. With Baslow and Curbar Edges on its doorstep, you will be hard pressed to find better local views than from these gritstone walks. Or, for those adventurous types, rock climbing makes a thrilling alternative to a gentle stroll, while also taking in those stunning panoramas. The village pub, Bridge Inn, serves tasty local food to follow those long and exhausting days out.

Originally the village cobbler’s shop, the property is accessed via the patio area into the kitchen. This room is compact but includes everything you should need for your stay and has been decorated in a country farmhouse style with terracotta floor tiling, cream painted cabinets, wooden worktops and exposed beams above. Once you’ve finished preparing your meal, step down into the cosy sitting and dining room. With a beamed ceiling, exposed stone wall and pretty window, this is a relaxing space to unwind and enjoy your evening meal. Upstairs, the bedroom is very inviting, with its apex roof, skylight, exposed beam and bright, modern en suite bathroom.

If the weather permits, step outside into the patio area to enjoy a glass of wine in the sun or even a BBQ. If you are booking with friends, why not rent the adjoining Lower Barn to accommodate four guests in total.

We had an excellent stay at Upper Barn Cunbar. The property was perfect and very quiet for a good night's sleep. It was lovley to have the opportunity to eat outside and make the most of the countryside.

Perfect cottage for a couple, Upper Barn has a fantastic view of Curbar Edge from the window at the top of the stairs. The cottage was well set out, well equiped, has secure parking and the outside seating area is a glorious suntrap in the evening. You can choose to either walk or drive into the village, but be aware of a steep return up the hill iRead moref walking. Great location for both walking and visitor attractions. Hide

The location of this cottage is perfect for exploring this part of Derbyshire . It is placed in a quiet and delightful village. Very dog friendly as the condition of the furniture and carpets reflect.

Perfect place to stay for all the attractions local eg Chats worth House 3miles down the road Abraham heights and tram museum 30minutes drive. The cottage had everything you needed and secure parking would thoroughly recommend for a holiday.

Great location, very close to Curbar Edge. Theres a pub nearby which serves really nice food. Plenty of parking space. Theres a roof window in the bedroom so it can be noisy on a rainy day or you could be woke up by the birds outside!

Very quiet location,tucked away in a small village.It has very good parking and if you are fit a 10 minute walk to the nearest pub the bridge inn.Its a 5 minute drive to a very good pub the Devonshire arms witch serves good pub grub.
