It sleeps four guests and welcomes two dogs, so no one has to miss out on the adventures. There is plenty of space for safely storing bikes, and there are numerous walks and cycle routes nearby.
Oozing with traditional and character features such as beams and stone floors, this is a superb, spacious cottage spread over three floors. Fire up the wood burner in the lounge/diner where you can get some rest after a busy day exploring the countryside. The two bedrooms and a lovely, contemporary bathroom are situated on the first floor, while up on the second floor with its sloping ceiling is a further living space/snug area. There is a TV and a selection of board games and it’s an ideal spot for taking time out with a good book. Outside is a large terrace with seating, a BBQ and remarkable views across the rolling countryside beyond. There is also a triple undercover bike stand to store your bicycles.
The village of Slaithwaite is just down the road and has a good mix of shops, bars and restaurants for you to peruse in your downtime. There are plenty of walking and cycling routes from Slaithwaite, heading along the canals or winding into the countryside. The northern edge of the Peak District is 1 mile from here, and your options for mountain biking, hiking and fell trekking are numerous. Go chasing waterfalls at Folly Dolly Falls (4.5 miles), enjoy miles of footpaths and breathtaking views at Marsden Moor (3.5 miles) or join the superb Pennine Way.
