It is also an ideal location for keen golfers, with a number of golf courses within easy reach. Slaithwaite is just down the road, with a multitude of shops in the high street where the canal runs side by side trendy wine bars and restaurants. Visit the renowned Holmfirth Vineyard or enjoy a walk around the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. For anyone interested in history, there are several heritage properties close by, including Nostell Priory National Trust and Salts Mill. Just a short walk from the property is the National Trust Marsden Moor Estate which hosts a large number of moorland nesting bird species, you may also see the wild roe deer often sighted in the woodland. There are patio doors from the lounge/diner that open onto the garden to make the most of the stunning scenery.
