A modern stylish semi-detached cottage, with a king size bed and a bunk bedroom, this is the perfect escape for small families and couples. With award winning pub's on your doorstep, there’s no need to worry about washing up.

Families keen on living an outdoor lifestyle will feel immediately at home in this cottage, which lies on the eastern edge of the Peak District. For thrill-seekers, underground caves and towering peaks lie nearby waiting to be explored, whilst more gentle footpaths through the surrounding countryside are perfect for those wishing to take their holiday at a slower, more relaxed pace. Either way, you’ll return home each evening to total comfort, with plenty of space to put your (probably now aching) feet up.

Contemporary decor with splashes of colour can be found throughout the cottage, with homely furnishings making you feel immediately welcome. Each room is light and airy, with ample room for your kids to play as you relax in the open-plan lounge/diner beside the open feature fire. Here you will also find a dining table large enough for the whole family to sit and enjoy a hearty breakfast ahead of the day’s adventures or a well-deserved bite after all the action. On sunny days, throw open the patio doors and let the fresh country air fill the cottage. Outside you’ll find a patio and garden - the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, or a glass of wine as you relax on those clear and cool evenings.

From a free brewery tour to fishing and tuition at a local fishery, Barlow has lots to see and do. Venture just outside the charming village, and the whole of the Peak District lies full of possibilities before you. Relax in an oasis of calm at Chesterfield Canal, just 4 miles away, or head 17 miles south to Wirksworth and join the High Peak Trail, which stretches for 17.5 miles of glorious countryside - perfect for walking or cycling.

Warm, comfortable, well-equipped, great food and beers and hospitality at both the Tickled Trout next door, and Peacock at Barlow a mile up the road, and thebfreshly baked loaf, milk, OJ and bottle of wine were great welcoming touches!

Cosy welcoming cottage. Ideal for walking and exploring the Peak District. All amenities close by whether you want to eat (and cook) in or not. Nice touch was the wine, bread and jams on arrival. Went down a treat. Would certainly return.

For my and my boyfriend birthday we wanted some quite, tidy and cozy place. This cottage was more than we was looking for. Amazing views, (shops, restaurant, bar...) at very good locations. The owner was very helpful too. We will definitely coming back this summer. Thank you for a such a warm welcome. !!
