A modern, tastefully finished apartment sitting in the heart of the breathtaking Holme Valley, this picture-postcard town is popular with walkers and wildlife lovers alike. A fantastic retreat for keen walking or cycling groups up to four.

This glorious apartment, just outside the Peak District National Park, sleeps four guests, making it perfect for a small family retreat or a walking holiday with friends. You’ll have a fantastic selection of walking and cycling routes to choose from, ranging from a gentle waterside stroll along the canal in Marsden (3 miles) to an exhilarating ramble across Marsden Moor (3 miles). Keen cyclists will enjoy the traffic-free Longdendale Trail, which can be joined 14 miles away.

The first-floor apartment is adjacent to the owner’s pub, meaning you’ll have access to the pub garden which boasts spectacular views across open moorland. The property is accessed via a shared entrance, followed by a flight of stairs. Once inside, discover a bright and airy living space comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner. The vaulted ceiling creates a real sense of space, whilst the exposed beams add character. Curl up on the plump sofas with a glass of wine after a day of exploring, to watch the Smart TV or simply gaze out the windows at the stunning scenery. The kitchen area has everything you need to rustle up a tasty meal to enjoy together around the dining table. Both bedrooms are impeccably decorated and provide wonderful countryside views.

Marsden Moor National Trust offers 5,000 acres of rugged moorland. Join one of the footpaths, many of which take you along stretches of the Pennine Way, or climb to the summit of Pule Hill for breathtaking 360-degree views. The Longdendale Trail is perfect for cyclists, as it follows a disused railway line, meaning it is fairly flat. The route starts in Hadfield and follows a series of pretty reservoirs. Those who enjoyed the TV programme Last of the Summer Wine will love wandering around Holmfirth (4.5 miles), where you can visit many of the iconic filming locations.

  • 2 bedrooms - 2 king-size
  •  2 en-suite shower rooms with WC
  • Electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and microwave
  • Complimentary welcome pack provided
  • Smart TV in the lounge
  • Off-street parking
  • Pub and shop under 0.25 miles

A fantastic place, would highly recommend staying here and also visiting the pub. The staff were so friendly, such a shame they dont do food, then it would have been complete.

The cottage is very tastefully decorated but homely. It's in a beautiful location and we'd definitely stay again.

We stayed in the West Nab View apartment which has a well equipped kitchen and a very comfortable lounge area. It was really nice to have a bathroom in each bedroom too. The views from all the rooms where amazing. Don't be put off that the apartment is above the pub as it is all quiet at 11 even on their busy nights.

Very luxurious apartment with great views. Lots of beautiful walks nearby. Dont be put off by it being above a pub. It was completely silent by 11pm each night.
