A visit to the Peak District is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience containing Areas of Natural Outstanding Beauty from the rolling valleys of the White Peak to the harsher, wilder grit stone edges of the Dark Peak in the north, spread over nearly 600 square miles and dotted with an array of charming market towns and quaint villages to discover. Matlock can be easily reached from Bronte Cottage and boasts charming architecture, shops and plenty of welcoming pubs and restaurants for you to take a break at in-between exploring. Other fantastic attractions within a short drive include Carsington Watersports, Gullivers Kingdon and the Blue John Mines to name a few. A local farm shop is only a mile away from the property and great for picking up some tasty treats and essentials or if you fancy a glass of wine or a refreshing local ale, head to the local pub, only four miles from the cottage.

With modern furnishings and features, the property has a comfortable open plan lounge/ kitchen/ diner area equipped with all the essentials you require for a self-catering holiday. Well designed and spacious, the kitchen area benefits from granite worktops and a wall mounted flat screen TV with Freeview is in the lounge area. There are three bedrooms at the property and all have zip-and-link beds which can be made into either doubles or twin upon request. On the ground floor there is one bedroom with two single beds and an en-suite wetroom with a WC. Upstairs you will find two spacious bedrooms, one with a double bed and en-suite shower room with WC and one bedroom with two single beds, en-suite shower room and a WC.

All guests are welcome to explore and enjoy 10 acres of communal grounds and lakes with picnic benches spread across the site outside that are great for a spot of al fresco dining.

Comfortable accommodation. Especially chosen because the rooms can be twin or doubles. Also, all rooms en-suite, which was a major plus. Electric heaters insitue that can be adjusted to suit. Cottage very cosy. If youre going to cook a lot you might want to take certain items of kitchen equipment with you, although management were able to help us oRead moreut to a certain extent. We very much enjoyed our stay but we would be put off returning until the mattresses were replaced! Two were fine but the other 4 were pretty uncomfortable as you could feel the springs sticking into you when you lay down. A thick mattress topper may remedy the problem in the short term. We visited on a very cold and snowy weekend and the heaters wRead morearmed up the property very well. The kitchen was well equipped though I couldn't find a potato peeler which would have been useful. Hide
