Head off to Carsington Water to hike the exhilarating 8-mile circular route around its shores. Further afield, ascend to the Heights of Abraham (14 miles) on its famous cable car to take in the views and explore its historic lead mining caverns. Or head to Haddon Hall (15 miles) to explore this beautifully preserved stately home overlooking the River Wye.
