Whisk your special someone off on a romantic escape at this lovely glamping pod tucked away in a quaint complex of farm properties just 3 miles from Ashbourne. Sleeping two people in one sleeping area, it’s ideal for adventurous couples who are seeking a little peace and tranquillity in the Peak District. Spend a lovely day hiking along the Tissington Trail and then head into Ashbourne to check out the traditional village pubs. In the evening, come home to toast marshmallows at the firepit under starry skies.

Pull up in your private parking spot and follow the short path to your bespoke pod, which is tucked away among the hawthorn trees - and perfectly positioned to capture the incredible views across the Atlow Valley. Step inside and you’ll discover a warm open-plan space with polished oak flooring, a double bed and a compact kitchenette. If you prefer to cook alfresco, head outside to fire up the charcoal BBQ and dine on the decked area while you admire the beautiful valley views. Before bed, cuddle up by the glow of the firepit and watch the night sky fill with stars. A few steps away from your pod you’ll find the site’s shared facilities: a covered outdoor kitchen with gas hobs and a Belfast sink, two private heated shower rooms, and an information room with an honesty shop, books, board games, maps and super-fast Wi-Fi

Head off to Carsington Water to hike the exhilarating 8-mile circular route around its shores. Further afield, ascend to the Heights of Abraham (14 miles) on its famous cable car to take in the views and explore its historic lead mining caverns. Or head to Haddon Hall (15 miles) to explore this beautifully preserved stately home overlooking the River Wye.
