A well-located, stylish cottage ideal for those who want to spend the day in open country but seek the facilities of a town centre location in the evenings, within an easy stroll of a quiet night’s rest.

Settle in for a comfortable stay at this delightful cottage in the bustling Derbyshire town of Buxton. Sleeping four guests, the charming stone property has two bedrooms and is in a great location for strolling into town and reaching shops and restaurants, as well as planning forays out into the beautiful Peak District National Park on foot or by bicycle. Discover the history of the famous thermal spa town; enjoy its impressive architecture and make the most of its reputation for its arts and culture.

Make your way into this light cottage via the hall, where you can leave all your outerwear. Follow on through into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is very much the hub of the characterful property. Settle down in here to enjoy your favourite tunes through the CD player or Bluetooth speaker or to watch a film on the TV/DVD. Find everything you need to make homecooked meals on the days you don’t feel like eating out and a washing/dryer in a utility space beneath the stairs. A bathroom, with underfloor heating, is also on the ground floor. Make your way up to the level above to find a double bedroom and a twin. This property comes with parking for one car and cycle storage with electric bike charging.

Join one of many fascinating tours around the town of Buxton to learn more about its history. Visit the family attractions of Poole’s Cavern, a great limestone cave, and the Buxton Crescent Visitor Experience, which tells the story of the spa town. Pick up the Peak District Boundary Walk from the marketplace in the town. This meanders for 190 miles through stunning landscapes. Drive 11 miles from the town to follow a stretch of the 268 mile-long Pennine Way, which runs from Derbyshire up to the Scottish borders.

Quite simply perfect holiday accomodation. Clean, comfy, well equipped and tasteful, not bland. And Buxton is great, and it is in a good location within Buxton - close to everything you would want. 3 nights was not enough.

Excellent cosy little cottage in great location for Buxton and surrounding area. There is everything you need provided and a lovely welcome pack of bread, milk, local cake, tea and a bottle of Buxton water. The heating works well and the double bed is very comfortable. Bathroom and shower all good. The parking space is a little tight if you have a Read morelarge car but doable with care. The owners advice on which direction to approach the cottage is good as the lane is narrow. We definitely recommend. Hide

We loved everything about the cottage, very comfortable, clean and cosy. The fresh bread, cake and milk provided was much appreciated and the flowers in the bedroom a lovely touch. Excellent location for all amenities in the town. A true home from home, modern yet full of charming character.

Amazing stay, the cottage was better than the pictures and description. The host was generous and helpful, we were welcomed with local goodies and recommendations for our visit. Location is perfect for many attractions and activities and local restaurants and shops are very nice. We were a family of four and the space was adequate for a week stay, Read morecool and calm nights, would defiantly recommend the place and hope to return. Hide

A stunning cottage, cosy but somehow spacious, with everything you need and minutes away from the heart of Buxton. There is beautiful art in every room and lots of other thoughtful touches. We had a wonderful stay.

Perfectly located in Buxton within walking distance of the Pavillion and local shops. Lots of restaurants and options for feeding the family. The cottage itself was spotless, very well equipped, well heated with plenty of hot water. Loved exploring the Peak District and walked/hiked several miles each day (with the exception of the last day due to Read morethe storm) and it was lovely coming back to a cosy cottage. Wouldnt hesitate to book again! Hide

A lovely, cosy, very well equipped cottage in an excellent central location. Easy access to local shops, restaurants and the train station. We liked it so much that we already booked it for another holiday in May.

We stayed for a week in this attractive, compact and bijou cottage, which is ideally situated in the heart of Buxton just moments from shops and restaurants. The cottage itself has some lovely design features that maximise space and light. The owners have put their stamp on the cottage's interior decor with plentiful artwork on display from the annRead moreual Buxton exhibition. The owners live opposite and are really friendly, as is Basil, their beautiful ginger cat who will always say hello! Hide

Cottage is spacious yet cosy and in an ideal situation for the town, restaurants, shops etc as well being close to places to visit and sights to see.
