Split over four floors for optimum space this property is located on a quiet street yet within easy access of town centre amenities.  The style offers contemporary design whilst retaining period charm. The property is in a unique position where you can take in fabulous views of the cable cars travelling up and down the valley and from the rear you have a spectacular viewing spot for the fireworks during the famous Matlock Bath illuminations which take place in September and October every year.

The countryside surrounding Matlock Bath is called Little Switzerland for a reason; its majestic combination of limestone valleys, ancient woodland and rugged tors are a marvellous distraction from the stresses of modern life. Your accommodation is set on the outskirts of the village and boasts comfortable interiors and a warming wood burner. With space for up to eight guests, it’s just the ticket after a long day of exploring. Head inside ready to light the wood burner and settle down in the lounge, gathering the troops for film nights and board games in front of the TV. The stylish kitchen/diner is a feat of contemporary design with a central island to perch on for casual breakfasts and a large table for special suppers. The entire property has an underlying hint of Scandi-style, which gives the bedrooms a chic edge whether you are opting for the ground-floor single, one of four bedrooms on the first floor, or the delightful super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom on the second floor that has its own en-suite shower room. Completing the property is an elegant bathroom with a freestanding bath, and outside, the garden is a treat on balmy summer evenings. Positioned at the foot of the Derwent Valley, Matlock Bath is a haven for walkers and promises adventures galore across the countryside. You’ll find plenty to entertain your entire party at Matlock, 1 mile away, including shops and eateries. There are opportunities to put your thrill-seeking to the test with cable car views to the Heights of Abraham (2 miles), or why not take things slowly and enjoy a turn around Chatsworth House (9.5 miles)? The River Derwent is excellent for waterside strolls and, if you time your visit with the annual Illuminations festival, you’ll see it lit up in all its glory with a marvellous parade of boats.

A lovely, comfortable stay in a really high-specification home. There was plenty of space for us all - six adults, a 5-year old and two dogs, which was great. Lots of little extras were included to ensure we had everything we needed, and there was really good communication from the owners. Parking in the area was tricky, so the two designated spaceRead mores behind the property were a great help. The neighbours either side were both lovely too, and helped us out with a tricky car breakdown situation! Hide

As a three generation family which included two very young children plus three dogs the house suited us very well. Plenty of space so we could spread out. Well equipped and very comfortable. Plenty of walks and things to do close by so you don't have to use the car.

This property was lovely to stay in with everything in close proximity. There are 2 parking spaces which is good. If you need more then the "Old Station Carpark " opposite the road only charges 1 per night after 6pm. We plan on going back again.

We were a party of age range 8 to 80years. The property met all of our needs. There was plenty of everything, the kitchen equipment and crockery was to a very high standard. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms beautiful. I would highly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our stay at Matlock Bath celebrating a family birthday. The location is amazing - we took advantage of the local countryside and went exploring with the dogs, spent several hours in the town itself walking by the river and browsing the shops and we went a little further afield to Bakewell and the surrounding villages. The house waRead mores very comfortable and well stocked - even the dogs were covered (bowls, toys, poo bags and even a portable doggie shower). We all had a great time. Hide

Well equipped home. We had a superb stay and it was great to have such a good quality house that would still accept our dogs. Would definitely go again
