This cosy conversion once a Blacksmith's has been tastefully renovated is set in the backwater of the pretty Hartington Village. Perfect for couples and family retreats. The patio area at the rear is a walled suntrap with BBQ overlooking fields and footpaths to the beautiful Derbyshire Dale and the meandering river Dove.

 

Hartington village has pubs and cafes where lovely cream teas can be purchased and enjoyed. The High Peak and Tissington Trails are within easy reach with cycle hire. Carsington Water for sailing and watersports is within easy reach. Chatsworth, the medieval Haddon Hall or in contrast Alton Towers fun park and spa can all be easily reached. Buxton renowned for its Opera House and Pavilion Gardens is a short drive away. You are also at the gateway to the Dales and the Peak District National Park, the perfect place to enjoy long walks, leisurely bike rides or horse riding in the quiet Derbyshire countryside. From the cottage some of the best walking in Derbyshire can be found.

The Cottage has been lovingly renovated, on entering the ground floor the sunny king-size bedroom has a brass bed and the twin bedroom has exposed beams. Upstairs the wooden floors are finished with rugs for a cosy and comfortable feel. There is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which provides everything you need for a relaxing stay. There is comfy sofa situated next to the TV, just waiting for you to put your feet up and relax. The kitchen area provides an electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave, the dining area with table and chairs is a good spot for a lazy breakfast planning the day’s activities ahead. Lastly, the shower room with shower and WC can also be found on the first floor.

Outside there is a walled patio area with garden furniture which is a great BBQ spot and off-road parking for one car. There is a field to the rear of property which can be used by guests if there is not livestock grazing.

Great cottage to get away from it all for outdoor enthusiasts. Cosy and warm with very comfortable beds.

Limestone was a delight( although they do not normally take dogs they did accept ours in the circumstances of having to move). It was really well equipped and very spacious with old character but with a modern kitchen. The Patio at the back was excellent for eating out and a real sun-trap. We were in the village but still very quiet .
