If you want somewhere away from it all, with beautiful views but still very accessible for the surrounding areas, then this is the cottage for you. Close to Matlock and not very far from Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Ashbourne, this was ideally suited for us. The cottage is fabulously situated, with a couple of lovely pigs in a field next to the dRead morerive and a field of lamas further down. It would be particularly lovely in better weather, with an elevated picnic table giving great views. Hide

We loved this Barn, position was ideal for what we needed, quite and isolated. Plenty of walks near by.

Blakelow Barn is set in a beautiful rural and secluded spot yet close enough to Matlock for pubs, restaurants and take aways. The cottage is very well equipped, cosy and spotlessly clean. The walks from the door are amazing and our dog loved it

Lovely little barn. So secluded and yet easy to drive to nice walks. Love the steps to the picnic table where theres views of the surrounding countryside. Theres a footpath near the barn that will take you towards Ashford where youll find a nice pub- Poets Corner.
