This charming detached bungalow enjoys a wonderful village location with a canal and woodland backdrop. Set in spacious grounds, there is plenty of room to explore, relax and offers ample parking.

This detached bungalow nestles on a hillside location above the village close to the neighbouring canal and woodland backdrop but at the same time enjoying some lovely views across the valley towards Crich.  Please note the canal at Sawmills is currently dry as it is under going restoration.

Set in its own spacious grounds the bungalow all one level but accessed from some external steps has recently been considerably improved throughout to provide very comfortable accommodation.

You enter the property from steps into the newly fitted kitchen with all the essentials you will require for your stay. A door to the rear goes to the hall off which are the remaining rooms the two bedrooms one with a double bed the second having two singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower over toilet and hand basin. The lounge dining room is a very good size with gas coal effect fire, taking in patio garden views and beyond.

Nice homely bungalow - good points; very very clean, comfortable new sofas, comfortable beds, fast internet, lovely garden with large patio, is next to canal towpath (dry canal), tumble dryer. Not so good; no dishwasher or extractor fan, old cooker but works fine (takes longer to cook compared to modern appliances), noise from main road but is wellRead more set back behind set of houses and up the hill. We enjoyed a lovely bank holiday weekend at Canalside with our 2 year old. The property is very easy to find and get to. The property was very peaceful and excellently located for days out in Derbyshire. Large rooms, a lovely garden and very well equipped. We would very happily return.

We loved staying at the bungalow which is very comfortable and pretty much home-from-home. Superb sleep in the comfy beds (mattresses very firm which we like). Lovely view from the very well equipped kitchen, which had everything we needed. The location was also perfect for Peak District etc. The new Lidl at Ripley just 2 miles away was perfect forRead more any shopping required, but there is also Aldi and Morrisons in Belper which are also great. Canalside was an excellent choice for us. The bungalow is set back from the busy road nearby and feels lovely and secluded. Its location is actually very convenient for the attractive villages and towns which are only a short drive away. The lounge had a particularly pretty outlook. A very large, pleasant property. Sadly, the canal is no longer viable and is very overgrown. There aren't any Convenience stores in the immediate area, so a little forward planning is a must.
