A pretty detached barn enjoying a wonderful position at the gateway of the Peak District National Park. Brimming with character, this is a great choice for those wishing to make the most of this beautiful landscape.

This detached stone barn has been fully restored to a very high standard and provides luxury character accommodation in a rural position with good walks and views from the location. Ideally placed at the gateway into the Peak District National Park with Chatsworth House and its parklands only a short drive away it also offers easy access into the city of Sheffield.

The accommodation benefits from being all on one level with entrance being into the kitchen / dining area with its vaulted ceiling and oak units. An inner lobby takes you through to the imposing character sitting room with its exposed king post trusses welcoming log burning stove and large arched picture window onto the private cobbled courtyard. The two bedrooms are both of a good size the main bedroom with a king size double bed dressing area and en suite bathroom with Victorian roll top bath and shower over hand basin and toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds and an en suite shower room with toilet and hand basin. Fabrics furnishings and fittings have been carefully co-ordinated throughout and the barn has under floor heating limestone effect solid floors and occasional rugs.

There is a sitting-out area to the front in the cobbled courtyard and ample off road parking with electronic gated access. Guests can also walk through the 30+ acres of the owners’ grounds to further explore the area and view the wildlife which includes badgers foxes and owls.

This is a super property. Karen who owns and manages it is very welcoming and helpful. My mother (Joyce) really appreciated enjoyed the homemade Victoria sponge, and I loved the real coffee and wine included in the welcome pack. These were lovely touches.
