Commanding a spectacular position on the south west edge of the Peak District National Park. The cottage is an ideal choice for those wanting to explore the many attractions of this beautiful part of the world.

Located high up on the south west edge of the Peak District National Park this cottage offers stunning views across the valley to Tittesworth Reservoir The Roaches and the moors behind.

Although this is a quiet area the cottage is an excellent base for enjoying all of the Peak District. Outside you will hear skylarks curlews and the occasional baa from our rare-breed Soay sheep; inside you will enjoy comfy vintage furniture, a woodburner and a warm welcome - complete with a few locally made (or laid) treats.The cottages benefit from all home comforts while outside you will hear skylarks and curlews from the garden. Both cottages are accessed from a short private driveway to the property adjacent to the owner's farmhouse. The cottages are run on sustainable principles and have been awarded a Peak District Environmental Quality Award.

Walk through the lawned garden to reach the entrance in the gable end of the cottage the hallway is then up two steps. Immediately opposite the entrance is the bedroom with a super king size bed (which can be split into two 3’ single beds on request) with picture views of the surrounding countryside. Up a single step and on the left of the hall is the bathroom with shower toilet and hand basin. A further door leads through into the good sized lounge / dining room with windows on two elevations and welcoming woodburner giving the room warmth and character. Two further steps from the lounge take you to the well equipped kitchen with all the essential equipment you will require for your stay. There is a sitting out area under the bedroom window where you can soak up the dramatic and far reaching views of the surrounding area.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

A really lovely holiday. The situation couldnt be more beautiful with stunning views from ever window and the charming shared garden. The cottage is cosy, with lots of little extras such as blankets and cushions. The WiFi worked perfectly even for streaming TV. There were treats left for us, homemade cookies and bread, ice creams in the freezer. AnRead mored treats for our dog, as well as dog bowls. Absolutely perfect spot for morning coffee in the garden looking out over the hills. Hide
