Cottage was so lovely and welcoming. Great location to explore the surrounding areas. We used a s a base for long walks. It was perfect after a long day walking. Lovely little village and great pub. The cottage was a lot bigger than we expected which was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Peak District

A lovely cottage in a fantastic location. Winster is very picturesque with great walking from the doorstep and other attractions within easy reach. Parking on West Bank can be a challenge as it is steep but there are plenty of spaces up the hill or on the flat in the village itself. This is a lovely cottage, very clean, well equipped, spacious and comfortable. There is a dear little courtyard garden, just right for a glass of wine in the sun! Lovely cottage, nicely decorated & well-equipped. Comfortable beds, good showers & comfortable sitting room for evenings. We had a great sunny week so sat out & ate on the patio every day. Winster is well-located for local walks, Monsal Trail, Chatsworth, Bakewell etc. The village itself is peaceful, with a shop & pubs in walking distance. Lovely spacious cottage in an ideal location for walking and exploring this beautiful area. Do be aware of steep stairs and access to the garden is only from upstairs or externally which is tricky for dogs or mobility issues. Local pubs and village store friendly and handy. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Overall we had a good stay, but as always nothing is 100% perfect. The good: -Well equipped cottage (microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery, dishwasher, oven, hob, washing machine, dryer) -Clean -Easy check-in -good location. The bad:- Lots of dead (and live!) bugs and spiders when we arrived - No starter of firewood provided (even though that's statRead moreed in the description). - Paper thin walls means you hear the heating at night and every movement in the cottage. -Shower was broken upon arrival Hide
